Around 7:25 pm last night, a vehicle going westbound on Route 9 struck a utility pole at the entrance of 257/259 Turnpike Road (the Deerfoot Office Park). Breaking: Accident closes Route 9 in both directions
I don’t have much detail on this yet, but word has it a car accident has closed both directions of Route 9 somewhere near Deerfoot Road. Apparently, the accident caused power lines to fall across both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 9. Westbound traffic is being diverted at Parkerville Road. Pilgrim Church evacuated due to gas leak
Pilgrim Church was evacuated Tuesday morning after someone smelled natural gas. Kindergroup kids and parents were among those evacuated. Firefighters discovered a pilot light in the kitchen had gone out. NStar was called in and they recommended the stove be shut down until it could be cleaned. Weather-related crash on Cordaville Road
Monday’s snow contributed to a crash on Cordaville Road (Route 85) near the entrance to the St. Mark’s Golf Course.
