Since 2005 Southborough residents Lisa Braccio and Debbie Depp Wilson have organized semi-annual care package drives to benefit troops serving overseas. In that time they’ve shipped off in the neighborhood of 7,800 boxes filled with the comforts of home. This weekend, they hope to add to that total. Register for the Billy Webber Memorial Golf Tournament
The fifthAnnual Billy Webber Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Juniper Hill Golf Course in Northborough on Friday, May 31. The tournament is in honor of Southborough’s former police chief William Webber who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2008 at the age of 53. Southborough businesses organize 5K run for marathon victims
A number of Southborough-owned businesses are banding together to raise money for victims of last month’s Boston Marathon bombings. FitStudio 28, along with Mamas n Divas and the Southborough Recreation Department, will host a 5K run on Sunday, June 9. Polar Beverages is also sponsoring the run, and the Bigelow Center for the Arts is donating murals to be auctioned off.
