Mark “The Bird” Fidrych dies at his home in Northborough
You’ve probably already heard the news that former Major League Baseball Rookie of the Year Mark Fidrych, nicknamed “The Bird,” died in an apparent accident at his home in Northborough yesterday. Fidrych played for Algonquin before he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 1974. Bittersweet finish for Algonquin gymnasts
There was good news and bad news for the Algonquin girls gymnastics team at the MIAA South Sectional Tournament in Hudson this weekend.
