Information session to talk ‘green communities’ on January 19

In 2008 Massachusetts passed the Green Communities Act. It’s legislation that encourages municipalities to adopt clean energy practices in exchange for increased local aid. Since then, more than 80 cities and towns in the state have been designated Green Communities. Southborough’s Green Technology and Recycling Committee thinks our town should consider becoming one of them. With closure looming, Selectmen to discuss Swap Shop on Tuesday
The Swap Shop’s stay of execution is nearing an end. The popular leave-it-take-it shop at the Transfer Station is slated to close on Saturday.
