St. Mark’s triangle update: Announced “land swap” and indefinitely postponed forum (Updated)

The public forum has been indefinitely postponed. The following week, the Select Board will discuss next steps on the St. Mark's "triangle", including potentially moving ahead with construction before bringing a land ownership swap to Annual Town Meeting

St. Mark’s School has agreed to swap parcels of the St. Mark’s “triangle” to allow for the project to proceed with a “pocket park”, relocated intersection, and parking for the school’s sports fields.

Town pursuing heavy truck exclusion on Flagg

The Select Board voted to seek an HCVE on Flagg Road while maintaining the existing one on Main Street

As of Friday, Trottier Middle School was reporting 22 cases of Covid confirmed last week. I took a look and confirmed that there are still slots open for the vaccine clinic for Covid Boosters for ages 12+ – with one being held tonight.  Read the full article → from Update on Clinics and Covid

St. Mark’s Park Update & Design Feedback request (Updated)

Expect an update about a potential land swap on Monday night. On Thursday, the Working Group will hold a real in-person-only Public Forum seeking feedback on potential park designs.

The Town is promoting a Public Forum for the St. Mark’s Street Working Group this Thursday. The public is invited to attend the in-person-only meeting to provide feedback on potential designs for the land. Those who can’t attend can pre-submit comments by noon on Wednesday. Seeking volunteers for new Capital committee and more (Updated)

CIPC is seeking new members. Judging from the vacancies page on the Town website, there are a lot of other committees still in need of volunteers

Golf Committee seeking to reduce “errant balls” hitting homes

Latisquama Road residents have complained of balls hitting their homes, cars, and even a resident

Over the past couple of years, Town officials have been pleased to report that the Southborough Golf Club attracted increased use by the public. It appears that popularity has had a side effect, unpopular with abutting homes – an increase in the number of “errant balls”.
