Last week, the Select Board voted on dates for the fall Special and spring Annual Town Meetings. Both will take place on Saturdays.

This spring, when the DPW asked voters to approve borrowing $22.26M for road maintenance projects over the next five years, the pitched plan included the major rehab of four roads this year. One of them was Pine Hill Road.

Have a public recreation project you think deserves funding? The Choate Fund Trustees are looking for applicants for this year’s round of awards, with approximately $5,000 available for grants.

Less than four years an owl was rescued from a soccer net at Trottier Middle School, another owl became entangled on the same field.
